This group will be responsible for all aspects of planning the GOTR 5K run/walk scheduled for May 22, 2010 with the support of a race event committee. You will see this event from start to finish. Wide range of responsibilities from advertising and promotion to race day registration and activities. This committee is forming now. Get involved on the ground floor!
Coach (Click for complete job description)
Attend a six-hour training and a CPR training. Attend two coaches meetings during the season. Facilitate group lessons with a team of 14 girls for 1.25 hours per week for 10 weeks. Support group at the 5K on May 22nd.
Running Buddy
Run with a girl in the May 22nd New Balance Girls on the Run® 5K. May attend a GOTR
(Girls on the Run) session meeting to meet girls and run.
Goals:
To create, plan and execute a Girls on the Run 5K run/walk on May 22, 2010.
Identify safety concerns and develop a race day strategy for race day issues.
Deliver a fun, well-attend event.
Time Commitment:
Must attend race planning meetings (1 per month,approximately)
All day on Race day!
Time for individual assignments
Requirements:
Familiar with how races are run.
Well organized and able to meet project deadlines.
Able to take a project and run with it.
Willing or desire to work on various aspects of race planning:
Sponsorships
Volunteers
Promotion, PR and Advertising
Event Day Coordination Registration Coordinator
Signage and race bibs/packets
Leadership skills and ability to see the big picture.
Support a One-time Event
Provide water or snacks for a practice 5K at the GOTR running sites, provide extra adult support on a community project.
Collate and Data Entry
Needed in late February, late March, and late May.
Evaluation Administrator
Collect pre and post-season surveys, organize surveys and assist with compiling results.
End of Season Banquet
Assist staff in decoration, set-up, clean up and keeping food tables filled.
Coaches Bin Building Days
Assist GOTRBCC staff in counting copies and filling curriculum files, counting pencils, cleaning past curriculum books and copying and re-supplying necessary pages,
re-supplying first aid kits, etc.
Marketing
Assist GOTRBCC with advertising schedules and design and posting of necessary materials.
