What I have learned at GOTR. . .
As a very able person parenting a child with a disability, it has become so apparent to me how frequently we take things for granted. You should be proud to be running a program that is attainable for so many girls of so many different abilities. There are very few of those out there as kids get older!
The girls had such a good time on Tuesday. . . I'm so excited for Amelia to be old enough for this now! It's great for so many reasons, and it has already gotten the wheels turning for her about how much she really can do in spite of Cerebral Palsy, which is so fantastic that it's hard to articulate. I'm hopeful that this will be enough a part of her as the years pass to help her endure the more painful things she'll inevitably run into as a kid with a disability.
So, thanks again for all of your work. . .it's priceless.
